My Commentary on My Comic

Comments are arranged newest first. Hyperlinks take you to the comment, to the comic page, or to the top of the page again.

Chapter 1
Chapter 1, Page 4

I think this page came out much better than my last two pages. I moved to a smaller page size this time. I like Talon's chibis, again, they came out the best. Inking could have been better. Notice Lore's eye in the lower right panel and her funny-shaped head in the center panel whens she's looking over her shoulder.

I tried doing pencil shading as toning with a computer doesn't seem to be working out with me. It has a nice appeal to it, so I think I will continue to use it, for now. Lore looks better in pencil-shading.

Chapter 1, Page 3

Oh my god, it's horrible. I drew it in enough time for the update. Then I was late on reducing it, then I got sick and finally scanned it and worded it when sick. I scanned it unevenly. And it's just a horrible page. The only good things on this page are the Chibi of Lore on the top and the Chibi or Talon on the bottom. I guess the things I draw best are Chibis.

As you can tell I scanned in too much of the bottom. it wasn't supposed to be that long. I forgot the original script by the time I scanned it so the words don't exactly fit in the speech bubbles. One of my worst updates yet.

Chapter 1, Page 2

I like this page, mostly. I believe I completely messed up Aloria's eyes in the top frame, you get a better idea of what she looks like in the bottom frame. She looks kinda startled on top instead of simply questioning, and the eyes just don't fit on the face. Make them smaller and move them up a bit and it would loot good. Undoubtedly the Chibi's are cuteness. I spent less time on this page, but nevertheless it's a decent begining.

The reason I had such a problem updating this page is that I kept losing the file after I would scan it and then I lost the minimized original, and had to take it to school to minimize it again. All in all, it was a little crazy.

Chapter 1, Page 1

This page came out far better than I expected it to, compared to my first attempt. You'll notice that Talon is really lanky and his hand is too small. I tried drawing him skinny and went overboard. Also, my friend pointed out that Aloria looks like she's not wearing anything in that last frame. ~_- sicko. The background needs to be given some more depth, and I REALLY have to work on angles.

Chapter 1, Cover

I really liked how this turned out art-wise. These are really how my characters are supposed to look, verses the problems I had portraying them in the first few pages. The tree and fern in the picture will play a big part in this chapter, and probably the next. Also, the floating stone I used for this cover title inspired me to create the logo, seen at the top of the page. I'm not sure if I will eventually add titles to my chapters or not, but I can always come back and edit it out. Aren't my peoples so cute?
